Been busy in the kitchen today cos it's too wet to do anything outside after last night's thunderstorm.
Huge panful of windfall apples cooked up into pie/crumble filling to be frozen for later. Panful of spuds part cooked to be frozen for roasties. Some made into cheesy mash
Arternoon I've had a couple of hours with a neighbour who is housebound because she's caring for her husband with dementia. So I took her a couple of buckets of apples to give her something to pass the time We've been catching up with life, the universe and everything - since not much is happening in hers these days.
Really sad to see her husband this way.
Not bad day here weatherwise. Bit blowy while I was trying to attach netting to a frame at the allotment, tried drizzling too. Sun came out this afternoon so the washing dried and I popped out to dig over the bed where the wallflowers are going.
Did the household accounts too. Where does it all go? Think I might try a week without going shopping so we'll have to use what's there.
Evening All. 2.30 finish, lovely. Gathered in loads of Black Russian toms, so more passata in oven. Glad the people at work have been bringing jars for me. Just shifting dust upstairs and then I'm going to relax. Have a lovely evening
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevenin' Peeps! Early start today (and tomorrow) now the Horses are in at night, so I haven't had time to 'pop in' here this morning. Was praying for rain again, but we had a lovely sunny day, and got loads done, which was good.
The Dogs had a great time playing at a Chum's at lunch time, with her dog, and are now sleeping in various laces all over the kitchen and hall. I say 'sleeping' they each have half an eye open in case anyone goes to the food cupboard!
Coffee?

Did I mention that I won £11.60 on the EuroLotto last week?
This week I won £67:00 - I'm on a roll!!
They say things come in 3's............make it a big 'un............

Wakey, wakey, Grapeworld, its the weekend..........or are you all having your Saturday lie-in?
Rain seems to have moved on so it'll be a morning in the garden and an afternoon with my Mum - taking her shopping; she's still adjusting to seeing through one eye only. Hopefully the other cataract op will be done soon and she'll be fully independent again
Hope you all have a sunshiny day whatever the weather
