  • Me and my big mouth Just had an icy rain shower and I had to abandon my coffee and run down the garden to recover all the toys I'd left around, then cover the wood with a builder's bag
What a change in the weather in a matter of minutes
    Still, my coffee stayed hot

    • Eeeeeeeeeeeeeevenin' Peeps. Busy busy, and the weather stayed kind to us (warm and dry) got home, locked the Chooks in and it started to spit, so I grabbed the washing off the line and took it in, just in time for my shopping delivery, which is all now put away. Phew!!!

      G&T anyone?

          • My eldest son called with his eldest son tonight, which was quite a surprise. He had bad news as he received redundancy notice last week (he was area manager with a recruitment firm who are having to close branches) it was his last day today. Good news is he has secured another job and starts work next Monday. He has a wife and 4 children so phew! As there's no-one about again, I'm off to find a game. See you tomorrow.

I understand how you feel, both my son and partner were made redundant at beginning of August, they have a son age 5, so pleased and relieved when they both secured new jobs and all going well so far.

Good news for your so and a big relief for you I expect?

              • Evening all, just a quick visit. Did my voting on the Vine Virtual Show - heck it took ages.

Just going to make a hot water bottle and take a couple of ibuprofen and off to bed. Hopefully a good night sleep will sort the back. It was really painful this morning after a lousy night.

                      • I am installing an extra radiator in our bedroom, I can do most plumbing jobs but i am a bit worried breaking into the heating system so i booked a plumber for today. Up at 7 o'clock we moved the furniture out and rolled back the carpet. He did'nt come. i rang him at 10am and he said "Ive had an emergency so cant do it till next week" A phone call would have been nice. I knew I should have booked a polish plumber. Had to move everything back in.

                          • Hi all, hope your back is feeling better RL.

Lots of hard work done by the sounds of it. And nice sunrises seen. I prefer sunsets since they start later in the day...

Bluddy windy here again today. Wind speed 50K's in the morning - but the gusts are probably more
And 27 degrees! It's spring fgs! We expect the wind (without having to like it) but 27 degrees in early spring is weird! 35 out west a bit today. Pray for no fires!

Sunrise or sunset, I love them both - as long as I can see the sun I'm happy Can't imagine your sort of temperatures though - unless you're talking Fahrenheit

Temperature has dropped in the evenings here too.. down to single digits now.. Still haven't had to put the heating on, so my insulation is doing its job....
Got my chili jam made too... Tasty with a nice kick to it...
