Oh, I'm not far from castle, that road , by the river. Don't come from here, just happen to live here now? We have lovely 'Summer concerts' in the castle grounds.DottyR

Very nice too, Dotty
Gardeners have just arrived to cut the grass and its chucking it down At the same time one of my favourite neighbors arrived for a chat. She's moving soon and I'll be sorry to see her go - must remember to swap our spare house keys back before she disappears. I'll give them to someone else to mind
Hope you're all keeping dry

Afternoon all...
Weather is lovely here, sun is shining and it's nice and bright...
Did my charity run yesterday and it was a good day all round...Raised plenty of money and that's the main thing!I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

Been dry this afternoon (even a very little bit of sunshine) so me and youngest helper toddled off to the lottie with a bag of compost material and her snack and drink. Sat in the sunshine, she ate her snack and I had a fag
Brought home one huge sunflower head so her brother can pick the seeds out tomorrow, 1 sweet dumpling squash and one runner bean pod for shelling (her choice - she knows which ones are ready now, I have great hopes for her as she's not 2 till November).

Aaaaaaaaaaaarternooooooon Peeps. Got rained off this afternoon, as I'd have made more mess than enough, had I tried to do anything. Instead, I took the Dogs for a good long walk and we all got soaked.

Still raining here. Chester went home at 3 this afternoon, so floors have been thoroughly cleaned. I did the kitchen and dining room and Himself, to my great surprise, did the lounge! I was tempted to say "room" then, because "lounge" sounds rather posh. We say "in t'room" (as in front room) in Yorkshire. When I was little, we only ever went in the front room when we had visitors, or on special occasions, we lived most of our lives in the back. All the best furniture was in the front room and in our case the biggest telly. When I was a teenager I was allowed to do my homework in there.
