  • I like the heads of the valleys way, that's beautiful too - though haven't been that way since spring odd, must be nice now too

    • I haven't been that way for a while either Chris, not for today though - although all the traffic congestion should have cleared before I'm ready to move on. Haven't even had breakfast yet
Its been really windy down here and one of the boats on moorings was swept away yesterday and ended up on the beach on the other side of the estuary. Could have disappeared out to sea if the tides had been different!!

      • The learning disability lad who lives with us has a temporary gardening job, I have to be up at 5:30 to get him up and get him to work by 7am. This morning we were a little late and then after getting half way there he suddenly said "Ive forgotten the key to the tool shed" So it was back home and then off again with minutes to go. This was where my childhood scalectric experience came in usefull, I only spun off a few times. This is not good for my angina.

Thinking of moorings, one of my daughters X idyot boyfriends rebuilt a boat in our driveway (using all my tools) he then moored it in Torquay harbour. Next morning he had a phone call from the harbour master to say his boat was under water with just the propeller showing. He had moored it at low tide and forgotten to leave enough slack on the mooring rope for high tide!! My laughter subsided when i found out most of my tools (including a brand new Makita drill) were still on board. I was glad when he became an X boyfriend.

                • (((hugs))) for Chris. We saw an accident happen on the M6 a few years ago, bangs, screeching and flying things, was ringing 999 as it happened. Horrible, stuck in my head for ages. Luckily no fatalities, but people had to be cut free from the wreckage I refused to drive on the motorway for years afterwards, still don't like it much.

The weather is dreich here today as well, and I'm supposed to be doing bulb planting in the community with a bunch of KS1 kids this afternoon. Reeeally hoping it gets called off!

                          • Morning All....

Chris; No fatalities, all lanes now reopened although there is a traffic build up. Horrible to watch, but I can't find anything about injured people, fatal or otherwise.

We have the 'S' word this morning. I shan't say it because I have some 'L' word to hang out. It's breezy too, so it might even dry.

                            Coffee?
                            Jules

Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?
