Bore da !! Dark innit? It'll be lighter tomorrow morning - don't know what that will do to your body clock BM
I'm hoping for a dry day - want to take some apples to be identified - have to find the apples first - really should have picked them yesterday
Hope your son's better Scarlet.
Have a good day everyone

Morning all. Misty and sunny here. Just watched two hot air balloons float by - very odd watching them go along the valley below us.
Mr PP is planting broadies under supervision today, and having seen Monty do it he's feeling confident!
Have a good Saturday and watch for that weather. We may get some snow on high Sunday.Le Sarramea https://jgsgardening.blogspot.com/

Oh G4, you sound the opposite of me when I said - I can't believe a perfectly lame horse won't limp for the vet! Big hugs. Wonder what sort of limping it was tho - our boy pulled a ligament from when a twit rode him flat out up a shale hill. Took 10 weeks to repair but he's awesome again.
Speaking of horses - farrier here this morning - bluddy chilly but I got half way thru a 2nd coffee before he turned up. One of our oldies is on his last legs. Couldn't hold up to have all feet done
Le Spot tho - problems with chipped hooves on the rocky fire trail so he had his first set of front shoes. MG how funny! He stood there as if rooted to the spot and then walked off very carefully, like me in high heels!
Last of teens arrived recently, I'm on the red too Trip. Lasagne to be served somewhat soonish.
Pavlova's to be made.
Dorothy your holiday sounds good.
Pyrenees, no toothpaste! How rude!
Neighbours kids dog got knocked by a car this morning and then ran off.Ali

Would you like a laugh at my expense?
I've been mooching round the garden finding apples to take to the apple day. Unfortunately, I forgot one of this year's golden rules - don't go That Way because of the wasp nest!! You've guessed it, one of the little blighters came up and stung me on the side of my nose.
It's going numb, as if I've been to the dentist and starting to look like a practice run for Rudolph Hope I don't meet anyone I know today

OMG you win Hazel! Sorry VC - very painful, but spiders win hands down any day!
You'll all be pleased to know that we don't actually have a wombat in our house yard - it's two fricken, fracken, frocken bluddy digging buggers! They turn up with babies and there's REALLY going to be trouble at the feral farmAli

Good afternoon all.. Wet and miserable here, so not going to get much done outside today...
Looks like a few hours watching kids tv...I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
...utterly nutterly

Well the inevitable happened this morning. Out on our walkies by the Grand Union canal Rosie decided to lean over too far to grab a drink of water and fell in. Fortunately it was the lock section and the edge is stone blocks so I was able to kneel down and grab her collar.
Once she was out she soaked me shaking the water off.
Somehow I don't think this will be the last time so I think I will make sure she has a harness on when we go to the park.Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Lucky Rosie! We wouldn't dare walk Chester anywhere near that sort of water without a lead - he loves swimming, he'd be straight in. Glad you were able to rescue her Jeanie. It's been quite warm here today, but turning cold now. Two Golden Girls tonight, eldest starts work tomorrow at Meadowhell.Granny on the Game in Sheffield
