Afternoon, its not been a bad day here for driving just bits of rain Poor Rosie that fall in the water must have scared her Jeanie

Been out this afternoon with the littlies collecting leaves for leafmould. They loved it, and we managed to fill four sacks. Also found some reasonable sized chestnuts and some nice leaves for them to do leaf prints with tomorrow.

Brightened up here this afternoon, but we're throwing pants into a bag. Off to Rome tomorrow for 4 days - side visit to Pompeii, I am so excited I shan't be able to sleep tonight!

Evening all....

I am so tired. Didn't sleep until 3am and I've just done eight hours in the costume shop - last Saturday before Halloween, and all the children are off for half term. I'm not going in tomorrow even if'n they beg on their knees. Bought my pumpkins in town from a little greengrocers - only place to go if you want something other than round ones. Mine are all upright ovals - planning something a little different this year......

Desperate to have a sleep on the sofa, but need to go meet a train in an hour.

I took some apples to be identified this afternoon - raised more questions than it answered!! Now I'm going down to neighbours for a meal........Sounds quite windy out there already

Evening all!

I had the best of the weather today running around Kingsbury Water Park this morning, it's lashing it down now, so I have been sewing Christmas tree decorations. Will put a pic up when I've finished.

Oh - and I'm about to eat Delia's cottage pie (secret ingredient: cinnamon), and pour myself a glass of a rather lovely Argentinian Malbec. Mm mmmm.

They are telling us the storm is due Monday, but Its absolutely disgusting outside right now. (Torquay)Lashing it down and very high wind, i can hear a bucket blowing round the back yard. Spose I better go out and check the GH.

Evening all... Not sure we are going to get it as bad as UK, but have had plenty of weather warnings on my phone this evening... Rain, thunderstorms etc...
So fire lit and red wine at the ready... Spanish I believe...

And its good evening from me. Had some heavy rain earlier but all calm now.
Just spent the evening with my personal psychiatrist My neighbour actually but I still find it unnerving when he looks at me over the top of his glasses. I don't tell him my dreams His wife is lovely but totally scatty - just my type of people
If I've got it right we have an extra hour in bed tomorrow (I don't mean all of us in the same bed..........)

You didn't have to wake me to tell me though ............. Or maybe it was that band of heavy rain and battering wind that did it, about an hour ago. All peaceful again now
This'll bring the apples down, but I hope it doesn't bring the trees down with it.

Good morning again, happy lie in for those who managed to get one...Am feeling better than I did 4 hours ago............I would describe this morning as a typical drying day, sunny & breezy. Just enjoyed boiled eggs & soldiers........not had them for Nye on 50 years.................gonna make another coffee before settling down to Tim & Joe
