  • I know the feeling VC - I still have a few messages from my mother stored on my answerphone - I skip over those ones when playing back - not sure what to do with them.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

    • Jeanie - it would be good to be able to download them somehow. Then stash them away until you're ready to hear them - like I'm going to do with this cassette.

All very emotional I would imagine. I love old photos, think cos they are so precious, and so few often remain. I wud love to discover something like you have found.

Recently met a cousin, who I can never remember meeting as a child, I knew she existed, she is now 73, so 60+ years! her younger brother, I hadn't seen for 31 years, all very strange.

You might enjoy watching the video tapes, well I think you probably will, hopefully will laugh!

                • Oops - is it a bad sign that the dog can take me for a walk to the off license and the proprietor is known as her Uncle? And she is only 6 months old...

                    • Oh VC I had an answering machine message of my fathers on the old answering machine. I didn't delete it after he died because I liked coming across his voice talking to a machine he never really liked but learned to live with because we never got to the phone in time. I was quite upset when lightning knocked it out. His phone number is still in my mobile phone and gives me a smile sometimes when I'm scrolling thru contacts.

Crap day here dealing with centrelink - oh you know that place for all us folks who are too lazy to make enough money to live on (but equally are off to work to make more so we can give the govt more...) omg they drive you insane waiting online forever! Still need tofind some paperwork

Rainy this afternoon with short sunny breaks. Not sure if I'm game to take the spare mattresses back to neighbours or if it's too risky. They don't quite fit in the back of the ute.

Back to work tomorrow at idiot oçlock - 4 days, I'll have some strong coffee tomorrow thanks, VC.

                        • Morning Mally. Don't think the storm has got here yet - it was windier yesterday afternoon.

Was forecast to hit about 6 am, it must be running late.

                          • Morning All!!
Lots of rain overnight and quite windy - not sure how windy as I slept through most of it. I have this ridiculous fear that the chimney stack will fall on me when I'm asleep so I sleep on the other side of the bed to be safe. Absolute rubbish of course as I'm only a couple of feet further away and I'd still be squished by the chimney - but it means I can sleep easily knowing I've done my best
Hope everyone is safe and undamaged by the weather - and remains so Take care out there.

                              • g'morning me odes!

A "tad" windy on the bridge going towards Swansea today.. almost ended up on t'other side at one point.. or rather in the water below!

Loads of cars on the side of the road, dunno why maybe punctures or something.. my GH is still intact though, so that's good - and from a comment on FB, I've been offered a 2nd hand GH + 30 odd panes of glass from another friend (was worried mine would below away due to missing a couple of panes!).

                                Quite pleased about that!
