  • What would you buy?

I'm gonna be entitled to £310 worth of B&Q vouchers soon & haven't a clue what to spend it on. I was thinking maybe a shredder for starters.
Just looking for ideas really. I know you don't know what I have & have not but wondered what garden related item/s you would buy. Cheers.

I'd like a really small push mower for in front of the stayput and around the beds so I don't have to wait for my son to come with the petrol strimmer. I also fancy a chimenea. Enjoy spending it, whatever you decide

aluminium greenhouse staging. Fearfully expensive if the cash has to be found but with a fistful of vouchers a much more attractive proposition. One of my best ever buys was a heating cable for my growbench and the absolute accompanying necessity of a thermostat. I used pre-used timber to construct my growbench but again with a fistful of vouchers, nice new timber and plywood will let you make a state of the art propagation aid. Of course if you want to do that you can have the timber cut in store for nowt(you get three or our free cutson the big saw) and as an absolute necessity you will need the best of the best drill drivers. I went for the Dewalt at just short of £100 and won't ever go back to the cheapie versions. The performance is awesome. p.s. if you have any vouchers left over,

            Seeds..............£310 worth of seeds
Or................a shredder sounds good, outdoor seating to rest on to enjoy the view and a coffee (but you'd probably make something up from pallets and old treetrunks anyway ), a solar powered water pump to move water around the garden, solar lights, one of those longhandled bulb planters like what you have................Any money left or have I spent it all

Some great ideas there, thanks a lot.................I need to see if there is a time limit as may be able to split the vouchers to buy as & when I need things.

I think I would offer some of the vouchers to a tree surgeon / garden clearer person with a chainsaw so that I could get rid of the tree which is lying on my veg patch. That way I could maybe manage to grow some stuff next year

Some kind of weather station, to know what was happening in my back yard and what was coming that day specific to me would be nice.

A bang tidy petrol strimmer, though you might not find one there.

A rotavator, a big roll of fleece, a long handled spade I hate bending down to dig. An oompah lumpah??

How much did you have again?
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

I would invest in a tumbling composter - always wanted to try one of those.

I made one a couple of years ago Andy out of a blue food barrell..........it was ok then I had to give it up for personal reasons.........There are a few threads knocking about if you search for tumblers.

I wouldn't know where to start - making decisions is not my strong point. Possibly a good pair of loppers so that if I have to take out any shrubs I could lop through the big roots, rather than hacking with a spade.
