  • End of season sales

Browsing thru old posts yesterday I came across talk of Wilkos end of season reductions on gardening bits last year and peeps buying stuff reduced to 10p! I believe it was around 3rd November 2012, will this happen at the same time this year? (Any undercover spies "in the know...") and are there any other bargains coming up from other shops? Thanks!!

This is to to late for this season but I always keep a lookout at my local ASDA store as they sell gardening products at the end of season dirt cheap. Last year I bought a walk in greenhouse 122x122x184cm originally priced £44.99 for £10. This year bought John Innes Multi Purpose Compost for £2 a bag so there is bargains about.

Bit late, I think you've missed the Wyevale seeds for 50p a packet sale, and all the cheapies in Wilko have gone, replaced by the start of the Chrismad stuff

Last year- end of Nov , I bought about 20 packets of bulbs for 10p a packet from Wilco's.
They were absolutely wonderful this Spring!

I'm hoping they do the same again this year!!

Somebody posted on a "deals " website three or four days ago that they got compost for £1 a bag this week. Sounds like the big yearly sale is under way. Unfortunately, there's only a small branch near me and they got rid of their gardening stuff a long time ago; didn't reduce it, though. Must've just transferred it to a bigger store.

Wilkinsons had their 3 for £10 compost for £1 today & kept replenishing the stock. They also had grow bags for 87p. Some of the tulips are reduced to £1 but they don t seem to have an enormous supply so I think you d have to be very lucky to get real bulb bargains this year.

I went into Wilkinsons a couple of days ago - gardening wise - there was very little reduced but I did buy 4 x 2 way hose-pipe diverters @10p each that I thought could be useful setting up a watering systems from a waterbutt...............maybe
No canes or compost and only tulips half price. I was too late

Well, for those lucky people who live near a large Wilkinson store it sounds like now is the time to pay it a visit. Bags of compost for 10p; seeds for 10p; and just about everything in the garden section being sold off for a pound or less by the sounds of it. I'm not one of the lucky ones, unfortunately... I've just read about it on a deals website and am trying not to feel too gutted that the small store in my neighbourhood cleared out its garden section and sent it, I presume, to a larger store to flog in their sale.
