    No they're open in the background using battery. When you look what's open by double clicking the start button you can check

    Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

      Unless the app is allowed to process in the the background (via the settings), it'll hardly use any battery as they're "suspended".

        Yes, they are there running in the background but they don't seem to take up battery and its great to be able to open the app later on in the day at the same spot where you left of earlier cos something else cropped up.
