OK peeps it appears we can forget Global Warming for the time being.

Professor Mike Lockwood of Reading University is predicting Siberian winters and wash out summers for the UK due to weakening sunspot activity.

He reports that the sun is quietening really rapidly, quicker than at any time in the last 10,000 years and this will lead to a serious cooling affect for the UK and central Europe.

It would seem that climatologist Dr Dennis Wheeler of Sunderland University agrees with him.

I just wish the bu99ers would make their minds up, don't know whether to buy sun cream or a new parka.

They only call it climate change now, because it's not doing what they said it would.

Why don't the scientists admit that there is a lot they don't understand about the climate changes going on at the moment, rather than trying to pretend that they have it all worked out...They don't!

If you want real confusion try this one.

One department of NASA reports that the high levels of C02 in the atmosphere contribute to global warming i.e. man driven heating of the planet, so its a bad gas.

Another department of NASA has just issued a report not only refuting this but stating that C02 is actually keeping the planet cool by reflecting heat from the sun back into space, so its a good gas.

So if the sun is quietening and emitting less solar energy it will all change to man made global cooling.

My take on this is that they all have their theories but none of them really know what's going on.

I think slightly differently. They all agree the climate is changing as it does from time to time. So if they talk about climate change they are right what ever happens.

Well, Im depressed - I hate the cold. If it happens, i'll have to move to somewhere warmer, or just hibernate the winter away

Well I've seen the real life film and I think the sloth is really cool.

When it comes to global warming though doesn't that simply mean the ice caps are melting which will raise water levels increasing storm like conditions hastening the probability that an extreme winter could initiate a new ice age.

Or am I just barking up the wrong drainpipe?
