I make toothpaste for the dogs because the stuff you buy makes them runny...
Ah, things about dogs that nobody else does:
- I feed her on raw meat. Nothing but raw meat, skin & bones.
- I don't need to brush her teeth, because she eats bones (raw, never give cooked bones)
- I compost her poops
- when I brush her (and myself) I put the brushings out for the birds, to make nests
All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.
I know the arguments for this, but it doesn't make picking up what comes out the other end particularly easy.
Not had a dog for over 10 years now, but when I did they were fed mostly raw meat/bones, not tinned stuff that is three quarters cereal and veg, so although smellier, there was a lot less of it the other end, IYKWIM. IMO a raw meat diet is more natural for a dog (or cat), but dried or tinned food is more convenient, both for storage and serving. So you make your own choice.
Haha thanks! I have a dog that malts all the time and the hair I get from under the appliances after a month could make a new pet, I hate to think what it'd be like if I left it any longer!
I have been known to eat the odd 60 watt light bulb for a bet, but not the metal bits, they are too indegestable.
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
I saw a guy do it on TV and thought if he can do it so can I, but he also ate razor blades which was where i drew the line. As long as you eatit bit by bit and not try to do it whole it is surprisingly easy. Its probably a good cure for worms too.
