No! We just took them in inside black rubbish sacks, and tipped them straight in the washer!

I scrub my kitchen floor tiles/grout so they look like new (downside of choosing a very pale grout with two young kids... d'oh).
I do the toaster thing too, clean the hob rings whenever I clean the kitchen (can't stand having my own hob being dirty), I wash my hoover and the central do dah bit - cyclone thingy? - the dyson cyclone thingy that inserts into the plastic bucket thing) and the filters. I scrub my outdoor bins out too, wash the tea/coffee/sugar pots out every other week (sometimes even put the contents in another container when I do it, and then put them back in afterwards..... ).
Probably a lot more too but can't be bothered to write it all down!

You put me to shame, Chris. My teapot only gets cleaned when the sides are so brown you can practically make tea in it without actually putting any tea in. Then it gets a thorough scrub with bicarb of soda. Mind you, it is in almost constant use. I make a full pot, then reheat the contents through the day till it's empty, and start again.
Ah, wait, we're talking tea caddy here, aren't we? That gets cleaned before it's refilled, so once a fortnight for me. Herbal/green teas stay in their boxes. Coffee goes in a bag in the fridge to keep it fresher, and I don't use a sugar bowl/pot, in fact if I have visitors who take sugar, if they are good mates they get the sugar bag, if less familiar I have to scramble around to find a bowl to put some sugar in.Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
Endless wonder.

Then disinfect and put back together again.
The mouse too!

Chris - you're crackers
Just been thinking of you actually - as I washed about 10 kitchen floor tiles!
What i do that maybe nobody else does, is scrub a few kitchen floor tiles after I've done the washing up. My floor is too big to do all at once (by the time you've moved furniture to get to hidden bits) and the dogs leave their muddy foot prints in the same places every day. So I wash off the grubby bits whenever I have some hot water but never attempt to do the complete floor at once.
