I really feel for you LG having experienced similar myself 6 years ago. Make sure you take good care of yourself and ask for any help you need from any organisations, GP, friends and family.

I found the vine a great solace as well as a boot back into reality from time to time!

Have some special (((hugs))) from me.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Thankyou all. You know I knew you would all say the right things. I've raged at people who have said it will be alright. It won't be, it will be different. I have an amazing network of family and friends, and children who all appeared and are carrying us through this.
I've been cleaning hens and rabbit and had long walk this morning. It's felt good to do something. My plan is to get a dog at some point, it was what my husband Chris's longed for in retirement years. I think I will need something to get me out of bed in the morning.
Thank you all again. I will be popping on here for some distraction and banter away from everything here. Xxx

All of what has been said before and yes do get a dog,as you say it will give you a reason to get up in the morning & so much more than that, dogs really are great therapy.

My God, how terrible. Like you say, things will be different now. I suppose all you can do is look to build a new future with a different focus to it, however awful it all must feel right now. I hope you have many treasured memories of your husband to enjoy. They're something that'll always survive.

Again, thankyou all so much. Just been out for family Sunday lunch together. He came from a big Irish family and I'm blessed to be part if it , I've come home with my step daughter and grandson as I can just do short trips out at the moment . It all gets a bit much, but they are all really lovely. X

So sorry to hear this and what a terrible shock. Try and get through each day as best you can and take it one step at a time. At times like this family and friends are so important and the vine is always here. Hugs to you xxx
