The best I have ever tasted was the Johnny Walker Blue Label - I kept it till my first grandson was born and it was all gone in a matter of days thereafter - it reminded me of when I used to drain the dregs from my father's glass at New Year - I always wakened and lay listening to Jimmy Shand and his band on the radio and then got up for the bells whereas my 3 brothers slept on, so I always got to drink in the New Year out of the bottom of the glass - hardly ever touch the stuff now which is why I have all these bottles lying about - I used to buy them from my daughter every month - she got 2 free a month

Got a lot more than that BB - I also have Gin, Vodka, Rum, Cointreau, Brandy, Pernod, Campari and some I can't even remember their names - many brought back from holiday and never opened - I have started giving them away to my friends when they invite me along for one of their dos instead of just taking a bottle of wine as I did in the past. We could have a real party in the GR but I'll stick to beer - I prefer the taste and I won't end up under the table

...........There's a couple of bottles here you can have too........I don't like it at all.............not even the Welsh stuff............so I'll raise my glass of red to our new MoM ......Congrats MoMMy
BB - is that smoked salmon? My son in law marinates it in Drambuie and Molasses it tastes and looks so good - my elderly next door neighbour licks his lips every time he smells the oak from the smoker - he gets a piece in his Christmas stocking every year - I have his bit in the freezer now
I have been volunteered for nursery Walkie Duties along the Beach tomorrow morning, followed by a bit of work at the allotment and a Family History Committee meeting in the afternoon, so I'm going for a bath and then spending an hour or so with Ian McShane - I never watched him in Lovejoy or thought very highly of him before but in Deadwood he is a top drawer actor as are the rest of the cast.
