The doors to the GR were locked closed from the inside... A few of the regulars fancied a late one it seemed, and who was the barmaid to refuse?
After all, she was thrilled to have landed this plum post serving what was essentially a very nice clientele in a picturesque setting.

She still wasn't sure why the previous barmaid had left but her loss was someone else's gain she thought happily to herself as she pulled another pint of creamy Guinness...


Meanwhile, the stranger drew heavily on the last of his cigarette, and exhaled slowly. "Maybe the regulars loved Gloria the barmaid" he thought to himself, but he loved her so much more, and he still reflected on why she had left him...
"Well, if I can't have her, no one else should either", he thought to himself as he pushed the heavy bins up against the front doors... Moving quickly to the rear doors, he secured these from the outside too... "Now, there is no way out" he muttered grimly to himself...

Lighting another cigarette, he kicked the can of petrol up against the front door, took a deep pull and flicked the cigarette towards the can. It caught light immediately and began to rage uncontrollably. Within minutes the whole bar was in flames, and the drinkers within began to be overcome with smoke... One by one, they drew their last breath and slipped away..

"Well, that was some fun" said Shen,BB & VC as Trip turned off the bar TV..." I love those sort of films" said Nicos "especially when the sequel includes firefighters" she laughed.
"Time please" called Linda the new barmaid, as she again thought to herself what a great job she had landed..

Trip - you had me going there for a minute - I was just about reaching for the fire extinguisher whilst dialling 999

Is that pong just the wet dog under the blanket? Is it a stray? Who brought it in? And why.....

It smelled lovely when Trip dished it up but being strewn across the floor with with the odd body or two lying on it will not have improved the aroma but perhaps you could use that spray and.........

(As a point of interest - how come the pictures posted by you Gals in action are all so damned attractive, Barmaid accepted, whereas the ones of the guys are always of decrepit looking individuals on their last legs?)
