Thanks everyone - hugs gratefully accepted & returned
I know this is a disease, but I don't feel ill - I'm fine, just a right butter fingers! I can understand the denial - I so do not want to know what old age holds, especially worrying when I already look after my cripple! We'll cross that bridge later.....
What's very odd (to me) is that I can sit here sewing weeny seed beads onto an applique, but have huge difficulties getting my arm in my sleeve. I'm exceedingly pleased that so far, my creativity won't be crushed as my finer motor skills are still excellent.
And, of course, I can stagger out of the GR and have a handy excuseJules

Bummer! Than's horrid news but as many have said already, you have a great attitude and I think that will help enormously.
BB is right too, can I just say that, whilst we as mods completely understand Grapes desire to help, please refrain from giving medical advise as it could get us into all sorts of trouble
Here's to a VERY long period of the status quo. See you in the GR a bit laterA garden is a lovesome thing, God wot! (Thomas Edward Brown)

You have a wonderful attitude towards this. It makes me ashamed of my own minor moans and gripes.
I would certainly look for a forum for this disease if you havent already. i am on one for my diabetes and they have helped me so much.photo album of my garden in my profile http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...my+garden.html

I understand that it can be quite scary when you first get diagnosed but with the right help and knowing the signs you can manage your MS. Your specialist should be able to give you a lot of advice and the MS Society will also help and advise on what help it you can get.

My Step Mum has it Jules. She's had it since I was about 13. I'm 42 now and she's still going strong. It's different symptoms for different people. She has good weeks and bad weeks. As you say though, it's sort of a 'relief' to know that it is a 'something' and not a 'nothing'. So you have reasons (not excuses) for why you are sometimes the way you are. Hugs from me too xxYou may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...
I'm an official nutter - an official 'cropper' of a nutter! I am sooooo pleased to be a cropper! Hurrah!

Bummocks, Jules, that's rotten news. But at least a confirmed diagnosis stops you worrying about the countless other things it might have been, and is the first step towards fighting it and preventing further deterioration if possible.
Bad day or good day, you know there's always folks here to chat to/get a hug from, any time.Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
Endless wonder.

The sooner you know, the sooner you can get help from the right people, so I can understand your relief.
There is some good research emerging at the moment too; a friend who has been diagnosed for 20 years or so posted this on FB the other day: Toxin-emitting bacteria being evaluated as potential multiple sclerosis trigger
