Do you have a special cup, mug or whatever that you like to drink out of. I have a kuksa which I drink my tea out of as the wood stops the liquid burning my lips. I like a hot drink.

Yes! I am bizarrely obsessed with having the 'right' mug I like a tall narrow mug, but straight-sided, not flaring out at the top. Keeps the brew hotter for longer Favourite at the moment is a Starbucks one that I got for Christmas, but I hate Starbucks so I'm always on the lookout for a replacement.

I don't like mugs that are too tall (nothing personal BM) 'cos when you tilt your head back for the last dregs, the coffee pours over your face
Square mugs are the same, how can you fit your lips round a flat side - so that pours over your face too
Since I drink black coffee, dark mugs are good in the garden because you can't see the flies that drown in it.......
On the rare occasions that I drink tea, that has to be from a china, daintier mugette

I've got a coffee machine that I bought from the 'Bay. It was unused but the seller had broken the little glass cups that came with it. Trying to get an ordinary mug under the spout was impossible, so I was delighted to find some in Maastricht for €1 each. As a bonus they're engraved with tall Dutch houses, so remind me of my holiday.
I don't drink tea, so no special cup for that. But I do have a Gustavian style footed mug that I use for cocoa.
There's also a travel cup with windmills on for when we picnic at The Spot.Last edited by julesapple; 22-11-2013, 03:39 PM.Jules
Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?

I have a few mugs I use in preference to anything else.
One has old dutch houses on and another is from a BBC department. Not sure where that one came from.
I have some nice little mugs that I bought (very very cheap) from boots years ago with chocolate eggs in with rabbits and cows on. They're very lovely. I have one of them at my MIL's for when I have a brew there.
And then I have some rightmove mugs that I quite like cos they were free.
But not fussed that much. A brew is a brew is a brew.

I will have any mug for my coffee, but when it comes to tea only the largest cup will do.
Being a tea pig I usually like two cups.

Losing a favoutie mug is almost like losing a dear friend. I do get very attached to my tea mug but inevitable in my household they get broken. My wife threw mine out the other day because it had a slight chip in it, I fished it out of the bin and told her "You know I like chips with everything".photo album of my garden in my profile http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...my+garden.html

I have a tigger mug that I bought about 10yrs ago at Thoresby market. Three for a tenner I think. Cracked (a bit like me) and stained but I love it. Think Eyore is still hanging about but Pooh's handle fell off. When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
