      straight out the jar whilst cooking dinner! peel them off layer by layer, ooh and the best time to eat strong onions is with a cooked breakfast! yum,yum,yum...

          I like to make them last as long as possible! Also some of my homemade ones are a tad on the strong side(even for me) and eating them by the layer is the only way to cope!

            Gawd I want some good pickled onions now.
            My gran used to make the best ones in the world.
            My sister's bf's dad makes some pretty damn good ones though.

              I pickled my small onions I refuse to call them failures and looking at the date they'll be ready to eat Christmas eve.

                I make pickled onion rings. The BH has to leave the kitchen when I used the mandoline - it gives him the shudders.
