Mikey, You are right. As it was paid for mostly by private capital and saves the user a 57 mile trip I have to admit it is a reasonable charge (Although I am sure VC doesn't agree) Perhaps there should be concessions for regular users. I also notice I could use it free as my wife has a disabled badge

Can you get 57 miles out of £6 worth of fuel?

Its not so much the toll charge (which probably equals the cost of the fuel to drive round) its paying to enter Wales !! You'd be surprised how many businesses will not come to South Wales because of the extra cost of crossing the bridge.
If we have to pay there should be a toll on both sides of £3. Discussions about increasing the overheads etc not required ' cos I know that

I don't think it would be appropriate to do that VC, I often plan my route so I leave Wales one way and come back a different way.

It affects Bristol too as us Welshies are reluctant to visit Bristol cos we have to pay to get home.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

The Isle of Skye had a toll bridge which they fought against tooth and nail until it was dispensed with - the story must be on-line
