  • What do you want for Christmas?

    Hi,
Was just wondering what was on everyones xmas list?
I have requested for a magazine subscription, some garden vouchers so I can get my fruit trees, the ones I want and not what hubby wants, and a cordless nail gun. I know first two make sense but nail gun sounds a bit odd. Well next year I'm wanting to do my raised bed and sort the dodge decking out the previous allotment guy has left me oh and my wobbly robin box. So plenty of uses for it. Hubby says why can't I ask for normal things. But hey normal can be quite dull.
So was wondering is everyone what's everyone asking for? Or what has been the best gardening present you've had?

Sound perfectly normal things to me, what's he on about?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I know. Something practical that will get plenty of use. Wont be put in the back of shed and forgotten about. Will let him have a go with it if he is lucky.

I haven't asked for anything for Christmas since I left home. We were brought up with the rule that children can ask for things from Santa, but it was rude to ask for things (unless specifically asked by someone) to ask for presents once you were a grown up. I'm still not sure when you officially become a 'grown up'

That said, I do drop 'hints' to family members whom I know are buying for me

No one gets my 'hints'! I have to circle stuff in magazines and leave them lying about! They still don't get them!
You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...

" "I see myself holding a pair of thick, woollen socks." Harry stared. "One can never have enough socks," said Dumbledore. "Another Christmas has come and gone and I didn't get a pair. People will insist on giving me books." "

Since there's nobody to ask, I ask myself what do I want - then I go out and buy it. That way I don't need to wrap it up, nor do I have to wait for Chr***mas

never been given a gardening xmas present - was given a little canvas seat with a handle and small tools for my birthday once - which has been really great for my granddaughter when she visits. For xmas I want a dye cutting thingy for making holes in cards...... because we live in a different country we have to exchange lists or we would never know what anyone needed/wanted.

I would like another weather station from Santa. I haven't dropped any hints for one though, as the one I wanted was quite expensive.

The only other thing I'd like is a winning lottery ticket. For tiny bit (see; A Lot) more than £2.90....

I'd like someone to finally buy the ruddy thing I've been trying to sell on the 'Bay, but it's not looking likely. Was hoping to pay the rent with the proceeds, for the next few months, as work has dropped off.

Edit: Nope, not sold. OK, s*d 'em. He can convert it and I'll have it.

I do the same - except I haven't even got as far as unwrapping my last two Chr*** mas's worth of pressies - I still have a mini greenhouse in the delivery boxes in the hallway and a wii fit on the landing.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

I would like Father Christmas to be, a woman in disguise.

And of course, a lot less violence in the world......
                              God bless all of us.
