Dear everyone, who has made me smile, and given me help advice over the last few months, have a wonderful wonderful Christmas, whatever you are up to, eat and drink lots, cos very soon we'll all be out there digging, so no worries about a few extra pounds!

I'm escaping the UK Xmas madness for a few days, from tomorrow till Friday.

Christmas (A time for reflection)

When I survey my little plot
I think of produce passed
Blighted spuds and mildew (a lot)
And caterpillars which pained my arse.

Forking carrots with rotten bits
Parsnips full of holes
Runner beans that were the pits
And onions eaten by voles.

But looking back I had one success
And that was joining Grow your own
You welcomed me with friendliness
Now I’ll never walk alone.

I have laughed and had advice here
Made friends within the vine
And learnt there’s always next year
To do it better the next time.
