I think today we are going to go to the pictures. We usually resort to baking too, Miss EB loves decorating fairy cakes and I enjoy making them. So if it is really bad we are indoors with films, baking etc. or sometimes we go swimming. If not too horrendous we can escape to a nearby Activity Farm which has lots of indoor space and activities

Normally being wet n miserable wouldnt stop me getting on the plot, after all, wellies n waterproofs are all you need to keep dry, but with Mr D not being 100%, then I dont think it would be a good idea to drag him out into the rain!

So, today with it being wet and miserable, and Mr D still not being well we will potting on seedlings and planting up some more seeds, plus making some rhubarb and ginger jam with the large haul of rhubarb we got from the plot yesterday!

Just seen the weather report for tomorrow, and it looks like the rain will clear later on, so I may get a few hours weeding in too!

Went to inspect my neighbours recently built poly tunnel. Just got inside it when the heavens opened, rain, hail and bl**dy freezing. Was trapped there for half an hour but in a brief lull made a dash to my own greenhouse.
Shock!!! Horror!! Dismay!!! My glass roofs wooden frame was like a sieve and I couldn't even find a place to sit inside without getting wet!
Tried to mark all the leaking areas with a felt tipped pen but gave up in the end as it was gaining on me.
Need to have a radical re-think on the roofing situation next year!

I'll be fixing up the guttering on the new cat-run and connecting the new water butt now the rain has reminded me. Why-oh-why didn't I do it yesterday?

The weater forcast says cold and damp for North Wales but at the moment the dampness seems to be comming down from the sky like stair rods. I managed to get the lawn and borders cut and tidied up yesterday befor the rain and there's no way I'm going out there today, so I've lit a fire and put the kettle on. Ho, Hum!

Well at least my dirty hovel is getting a LONG OVERDUE clean - I'm normally pretty immune to a layer of dust round the old place given the altenative of being at the Hill but I've no excuse not to wield the vac today!

We seem to be having the same kind of weather here in TX and I am tired of being housebound. Usually by this time of year we are hot...hot..hot and having water rationing...My poor garden is getting soaked every day...I have a water tank for watering my garden in dry times and it sometimes is empty by this time of year....I hope my garden survives....

Hope they have better weather in the Isle of Man DDL, I used to do that run for the TT races and the weather was always gorgeous. B****y long way from Plymouth, though, which is where I used to live.

At least I won't have to water the new lawn today.

By the way it's been raining here on the East Coast since about 1 pm. I worked the early shift today, so missed the dry bit.

Don't think there's been a dry bit here today!
OH had a ride-on mower trial this morning, so I laughed at him as me, Dad and the mower-man stood in the rain watching him as he ducked, getting soaked going through all the low branches of very wet trees! Made up a load of crumble mix and baked cheese scones whilst OH and Dad watched F1, then we ate them for 'afternoon tea' . Also potted on a few courgettes which were starting to look a little anaemic. We now have a fire crackling away merrily and 3 asleep puss cats.
