Well at least my dirty hovel is getting a LONG OVERDUE clean - I'm normally pretty immune to a layer of dust round the old place given the altenative of being at the Hill but I've no excuse not to wield the vac today!

Same can probably be said for the rest of us Hazel.

its still raining, made hazels cookies ,had to check they were ok to eat,they are,took about severn to make sure though. waiting for lamb shanks to cook,willthen have glass of red and see wants on the box.

No real cooking today as the old girl got a home made chicken and leek pie out of the freezer and has lit the fire.

Now its sit down and chill with a good red and a book.

If I get a surge of energy later I may do some seed sowing or tidying up in the workshop so I can move in there.

I've been Surfing dudes ...... the net that is. The Natch looked at me earlier but I think she can understand AngloSaxon as she got back on the settee with Mrs Grief.

Sorted out my seed order ( of Cacti) and compiled the wants list ready for the next trip to peterborough ( there's a good Cacti Nursery nearby).

Thought about the lottie but made a cuppa instead. I may go up to Focus tomorrow as ours has some half price JCB strimmers (£25 ish) which will give me a start on the new plot, I can cut it all down & see whats what.

Laid the cardboard bases out for 4 more 4' x 8' beds on the lottie, so it could get a good soaking before being covered with layers of straw and compost. Very quiet up there, can't think why....

I went up to the lottie this morning to water the tunnels and found that all of the water storage is full to capacity on all three plots and the pond is nearly to the rim.

Time to light the fire and build some more lace wing shelters in the workshop I feel.

It's been raining every since 1 pm yesterday afternoon. Very windy too, loads of leaves and little bits of branches blown off the (very old) apple tree in the back garden. Typical Bank Holiday Monday!!

It's now nearly half past five Monday afternoon and it's STILL raining!!

The joys of a greenhouse.

Today I are mostly been gardening in my greenhouse.

Which, fortunately for me, is unlike others mentioned on this thread as it has only one slight drip point.

I have:

• dismantled the inner sanctuary, removed the growbag house to the path and disconnected the temporary leccie supply.
• planted four bought in tomato plants in the side bed.
• planted three peppers, hot, across the side of the end bed.
• planted three more peppers, hot, in a growbag in the greenhouse
• planted three more peppers, hot, in a growbag in the growbag house.
• potted up all my Crown Prince seedlings from tray to 3" pots.
• potted on all my Butternut from 3" to 4" pots.
• potted up my Sweetpea seedlings.
• un-potted and discarding any duds sorted my spring bulbs.
• planted ten French Marigolds amoungst the tomatoes and peppers.
• potted up my sweet pepper seedlings, discarding all the smallest ones.
• planted three sweet pepper seedlings straight into a growbag in the greenhouse.
• potted on my daughters pet geranium, bought a few weeks ago.
• potted on my "Queen of the night" succulent cactus.
• sorted out the hose and soaked all the greenhouse beds, as well as watering all my potting / plantings.
• filled all my watering cans and placed them in the greenhouse to get warm.

Two beautiful DRY days up here, just a shame about the cold strong wind today, but lots of sunshine. My cheeks (face!!) are glowing!

I even had to water the peas I planted out the other day.

It is twelve by eight feet.

Bench all down the left, single layer with diagonal supports up from low on the frame and back of shelf bolted to frame.
Similar sized bed all the way down the right joining to a three foot deep bed across the south end to under the bench.

He's having you on, Terry - you know those aircraft hangers? He's taken the corrugated tin out of one of those, put in polycarb, chucked out the Cesna's and used that! He doesn't live by Stansted for nothing - and if anyone challenges him, he sets his parrot on them!
