  • Bad feelings and solutions

There were some pretty unfortunate posts on the forum yesterday which I chose to sleep on rather than throw my tuppence worth in to the ring thereby causing additional bad feeling amongst Forum Members.

If someone doesn't like the tenor of another member's posts, there is an easy solution and that is to place that member's name in your ignore list. Thereafter any posts from that member will not show on your screen.

It's easy to do, simply click on that person's name, click on their profile and on the left hand side of the screen is an option to add to your ignore list. Simple as that.

If you want to remove someone from your ignore ignore list, it's the same procedure except the option on screen is to remove that person from your ignore list.

Hopefully everyone will be playing nicely today. It's not nice seeing insults flying about.

p.s. If you haven't seen this, I'll be on your ignore list

Do the people you ignore know you are ignoring them? and if you do ignore them how do you know they aren't bad mouthing you? i was always told its rude to ignore people so this will take some adjustment. If i ignore someone i think i would rather like them to know it in case they think I'm ignorant.

Not everything written, is read with the same meaning as that which the writer had intended. We don't always get it right all the time, and misunderstandings are common with the written word.

I think what I'm trying to say is; If you don't like what someone says, why not just bugga off and ignore the post, instead of adding to the thread and causing more upset.

I agree, the hardest thing to convey in type is a tongue in cheek remark, maybe there is a smiley for this?

Not sure if I should comment or not as I was an active party in the shenanigans yesterday. I can't help getting involved though, it probably comes from being a rubgy fanatic, I just can't help jumping head first into the ruck.

In my defense and as a general rule of thumb I'm a very light hearted individual, I should probably try not sitting on the pointy stick in future, it clearly brings out the worst in me.

Personally I don't have an ignore list, and I'm unlikely to create one sorry AP, I wonder if you're reading this? I'm curious now, how do I access the ignore files do you mods keep it safe, I bet it makes for a juicy read.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.
