    • Jules- take a siesta for say 30 mins in the afternoon if you can.
My OH snores like crazy- plus I have insomnia...so I tend to be utterly exhausted most of the time - even before I help with some of the heavier chores around here.

Getting frustrated and anxious/irritated during the night really doesn't help....enjoy the fact that he is there - in bed with you!

I'm tired. This snoring is ridiculous now. I'm awake every night until 3 or 4am, by which time I fall asleep out of exhaustion. I then get up when he does at 6am ish (to help him get out of bed etc) and doze on the sofa for a couple of hours unless he needs me to help him. There is no quality sleep happening here. Ma has suggested sleeping pills but I can't take them in case he needs me in the night. I wish I knew why he's suddenly started this snoring again? Only thing I can think of is his taking of heavier painkillers so that he can sleep. And I can hardly ask him not to take them.

        Oh well. Coffee?
I've seen some pictures on Facebook- when blokes lie on their back, said tackle blocks their botty holes (blowholes?) or something like that.

Or perhaps you could try those strips that stick on your husbands/partners nose and open it up to help prevent it?

          Sympathise with you Jules.

Has he tried those nasal sprays, supposed to help snoring, maybe worth a try. There are also some drops/ spray for pillow, ( lavender I think)

          Extra pillow or two?

Ear plugs for you, nice comfy ones.

Trouble is if you are awake and your other half isn't, even breathing sounds extremely loud,

          Hope better night tonight.

            • Evening all. 11.30 pm here, waiting for babysitting daughter to get delivered home. Nearly an hour late already. She'll be cream crackered as we were up shopping in canberra all day. School and work wear, all the basics. A new phone for me to play with (poor young man who had to find one for me!) and it's been 38-42 degrees everyday here for a week. Back to work tomorrow.

Had to have the two old horses put down this week, so pretty sad time.

And the garden what is left of it is baking. Trying to keep the hazel trees alive, but can't plant them yet - just too dry and hot. It's really depressing. Trying to keep the trees in the ground alive, and letting all else self seed and hope it comes back if it ever rains.

Fires in Victoria and south australia. One dead. Arsonists have lit half of them Why!
A few small fires around and about - mostly lit by dry lightning. Fingers crossed for us all, nothing close, but you can't breathe hard just in case.

Folk festival on in a week. I need to try and do some last minute advertising. Have been to hot to care this week.

Will just have a quick look at what you've been up to and head for bed.

              • Ooops now how did those seeds pop into my basket at wilcos?

Maybe the 3 for 2 offer had something to do with it.

Very wet here today - soggy paw prints everywhere and a dog missing her morning walk. I have been trying to teach her to give me the ball when she plays chase indoors. She gives nicely if the reward is a treat - but tends to snatch the treat!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

                • Re the snoring, you really must look into a cpap pump and mask, it stops snoring stone dead. Snoring is not healthy it reduces you blood oxygen and can cause degrees of brain damage. They are suprisingly easy to wear once you get used to it. before i had mine i tried all the suggested remedies none of them worked. You will sleep better, he will sleep better, its a no brainer.
