Its a good day for surgery - tree surgery The gallant lads are here now, removing some of the lower branches on the ash and oak trees to raise the canopy. Should be a useful pile of firewood too by the end of the day

Morning all! I can hardly move today after yesterdays tough training session, so a swim rather than a run later, I think. It's free at our local baths between 2 and 3pm, so I'll take a late lunch.

We have a fancy dress shop in the town and the window display always looks dismal! I think that they have trouble working with the three manequins that they use. The other day they had an 'Elvis' on the male model - but the white jumpsuit outfit was for a - er - larger size gentleman, and the manequin is rather slimline. Not a great look, and would hardly boost sales.

Afternoon, well after a damp start the suns out so is the washing plus I've only come indoors because its lunch time.

Aaaaaaaaaaarternoooooooon Peeps! Today, I have been wearing a TEEE SHIIIIIIRT! Yes, I know I had a waistcoat over it, but I had bare arms nonetheless!

Popular day for Birthdays today; I'm late back 'cause a chum at the stables had CAAAAAAAAKE and it would've been rude to refuse a chunk - it was a HOOOOGE sponge, and was deeeeelish!

First job after getting home was chippy! Steak and kidney pukka pie with chips and gravy ... and ... it was this year's first outdoor meal at the (newly repaired) patio table

After that, I just topped off a few of the planters with bark chippings. Couldn't do much more, I was full of pie and chips

Right Peeps, you're in for a peaceful evening, which is more than can be said for the staff at a well-known, and well-loved Restaurant. We're off out to continue the Chum's birthday celebrations. If there's one thing I love as much as CAAAAAAKE, it's CUUUUURRRRRYYYYYYY!

Cold grey and rainy in London too. Off to the dental hygienist aka Miss Whiplash. I have told my Granddaughter that this should be chosen career when she grows up. £88 per hour, no brainer

My clever neice thought about training as a hygienist, but has gone for physiotherapy instead - I think it's because it is more of a transferable skill. You have to have a lot of expensive kit to be a hygienist. That and you have to gawp into people's 'orrible gobs all day long.
