    • Apparently....

"A simple Beaujolais or white zinfandel, the slightly sweet, fruity pink wine holds appeal. If you prefer white, stick to a light, relatively neutral style, such as pinot grigio. Canadian riesling would work well, too. I am tempted to suggest a bolder Alsatian riesling, but that's a French powder keg waiting for ignition."

      ..plenty to choose from!!

Yes, no doubt Hubby will be in this seat tomorrow! . My drink of choice nowadays is the old grin and tonic, but I do like the odd bottle of prosecco on occasions.

          • Afternoon all. Mama H and I went down to the plot. She proceeded to dig like the devil. I trundled with the wheelbarrow and filled raised beds. Shattered now! big hugs to aunty Susie.

            • Afternoon home again it felt a bit like ground hog day the amount of times I've driven up and down the A38 today.

Susie I'm thinking of you and Mr Susieq, I hope spending time at the plot gave you a bit of a break and some you time.

              • Back from Hillsborough (no, not the footie). Apart from food I managed to sneak in sweet pea seeds "Singing the Blues", chives and sweetcorn. I don't like sweetcorn, but the children do, so I'm going to give it a go. Ironing is next job. See you later.

                • Rosie is going to be such a good lottie companion! I have a long tether line fixed, with a long training lead connected to it and it reaches just about the length of my plot. (There is a 'no dogs' rule on the plots but I pick up any poo and always have her on lead- unlike some others on the site!)

We spent a happy hour together - she was mooching around, chewing on twigs, digging, sniffing and looking - and I cleared the best part of a bed ready for some serious planting.
Now to persuade her to leave the new plantings in the ground
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Just to say, thinking of you, do hope things get better for your husband soon, what a worry for you.

Lol BB- take a risk and have the real Nouveau - at 1996 it must be Ancien! I shall never forget many years ago an a la carte meal in Boulogne with a Beaujolais Villages that was fab! Must have been one of those memorable moments
