Been for a look around the roman bits in Wroxeter (quite interesting) & the new bit build using roman methods (in need of some exterior repair after the rains),now washing the Sahara off the car ready for the trip to RHS Cardiff this weekend

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarternoooooooon Peeps! Rode a different Biiig Orse today no, don't take the pee, Orses are like cars, they're all slightly different to drive, with slightly different controls, and I'm a bit of a one-horse rider, so it's a big thing for me. Chores done, dogs entertained/exercised and weeds murdered - all in all a good day outside in the sun.
Now in for coffee and CAAAAAAAAAAAKE! . You lot OK?

I used to like riding a new horse when I rode G4 - every one taught me different things about riding - including some that showed I was cr*p at it!
I spent this morning cleaning and then on a course for making dog jackets. Rosie now has a smart fleece jacket to wear - just got to put the tummy band and chest band on and it is ready to use. Hope she doesn't grow much more before she needs it.
May pop off to the lottie for an hour of weeding while it is still light.
I was like that when younger, Jeanie - got a big yellow streak nowadays!
I've just given most of the back lawn a cut. First one of the year, due to Hubby's inability to remember to fill my can. I did it myself in the end, as I was worried hoards of Pygmies would set up residence out there! Now time for yet another cuppa, and a cheese sarnie made with Warbies' HCB loaf. I won't need any dinner at this rate!

Two red kites circling over the lottie this evening. Luckily Rosie didn't attract their attention.
Now back with a raised nettle rash on my arm from the stings of weeding a huge nettle patch. Rosie has licked the spot but it hasn't helped! I don't mind too much as I am convinced my arthritic fingers are eased by nettle stings - lord knows why.
Oooh now I just googled it and apparently it is true! And I found that out all on my owney-o!
Mixed kebab with loads of salad! Very nice, too. Such a shame the day has ended on a very sour note after receiving a super snotty email from someone who really should be more honest, efficient and broad-minded. My brain is now going to spend most of the night compiling a response while I try to persuade,it to sleep.
Sweet dreams all.

Morning all..Looks like BB has beaten me to the ITS FRIDAY thingy, so I am not going to try match the Creative Director
We had frost last night and I didn't get a chance to check the greenhouse this morning, so am wondering if my "sacrificial" plants out there survived...
Have a good one!
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
Morning all! I put my head down yesterday and worked my way through two thirds of the In Tray - hurrah! It needs carbon dating down at the bottom.
I now have 35 tasks to do today. I normally get through about 15 'things' depending on what they are - a 'chase up telephone call' is about 2 mins - brill - but 'fully costed proposal' can take a lot of the day. So it's all a bit pot luck on how I get on.
And that doesn't build in the '@rse around factor', which tends to be higher on a Friday...
Oh - nearly forgot - saw a couple of lovely Springers when I was being smug in the park on Wednesday, Jeanie, and I thought of you. Full of zip, ain't they??
