It's all done now and fully operational again...Result is happy kids
Beautiful morning here and I really didn't want to come to work...but needs must...
Short week tho as it's Easter weekend, so have this Friday and Monday next week off
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
Morning All (just). Might get a bit of gardening done today if I can settle Himself! Bren - what did you do when the support for Windows XP ended? I'm at a loss, I'm not even sure what it means. If I was at work there are plenty of boffins to help me - is it a security thing? I have McAffee. See you later, enjoy the sunshine Oops forgot - hope your ankle is better chick x

Flo my desktops on win7 it was only the laptop still on XP so we downloaded xubuntu its a Linux based operating system and free, the other alternative was to spend money on win7 or 8.
Flo,XP will still work but Microshaft will no longer do security patches/upgrades anymore, keep your anti-virus updated & run regular scans, that's what I'm doing on this one while I try & get my head around windoze 8 on the new one

Thank you both. I've just done a bit of watering. It's so lovely outside, if a tad windy, but Himself is bored silly so it's a bit tricky for me to go out for long. Back at work tomorrow, so he'll have to deal with the boredom on his own.
Aaaaaaaaaaaarternoooooooooon Peeps. Had a lovely morning playing with pencils. Now we have warm n sunny here, and I have to go and put some dosh in the bank for Hubby. Currently suffering a very painful tweaked muscle, which is making walking very uncomfortable, so the dogs only got a short walk. That doesn't seem to have eased it, so I'm going to hobble to the bank and see if that makes any difference. pilates this evening, so that should sort it. I hope.
Hope you're all OK, I'll put the kettle on when I get back.

Hope the exercise sorts you out G4. Himself has lots of books to read (Saturnalia presents), but he really needs to have his eyes tested and he can't at the moment. Must try and get him some magnified readers from the supermarket. I've just been pricking out snaps. I do like snaps. Fingers crossed the snugs don't get 'em. Roast beef in the oven for an early dinner, my stomach thinks my throat's been cut. See you later.
Well, the exercise didn't help, so I took one of Hubby's Cocodamol. Yeah, I know, it was only one, don't nag! The lovely soft fresh squidgey doughnut that I scoffed has helped a little, but not with the waistline, I guess. I also, somehow, found myself in $m1th$ and came out with some more paper, pencils and other 'essentials' that I thought I needed.
I guess that's comfort-eating and retail-therapy all in one!
