  • Evening! Began today by getting up early and baking some cheese tartlets to give to my fellow dogwalker who has been trying to help out with Rosie's training - well you gotta say thank you somehow, and this seemed like a good idea!

Did some seed sowing at last! Airing cupboard now has some little hopeful pots inside.

Then off to the plot for an hour of nettle clearing round my raspberry patch which seems to have sprung runners all over the place. Oh well, a few flowers coming so hope for a crop this year at least.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

It's a Rochester peach; but VC is just as good.

        • Evening all! Yes, HH, that is a good name for your peach. I hope it does well and doesn't get too wet/cold at your plot.

I thought I'd share this - I saw this grey attired gentleman when I was out being smug at lunchtime. His feet were wet, but he was very dignified, even with the paparazzi snapping him through the saplings by the Plants Brook.

          • I love herons, Hazel. I am really lucky to have a huge heronry nearby - I often see them flying over and it always makes me smile. They also fish in local ponds

            • Am I too late to say Good evening? Should I wait 15 minutes and say Good morning?
Turned a bit nippy out although the thermometer says its 8.7. Hope my little tender things don't get nipped tonight
Its been a beautiful day though - a day for dozing in the sun and wishing I hadn't had a couple of branches pruned off the apple trees - they were the ones I used to sling my hammock from. I didn't even think about that in the depths of winter
Hope tomorrow is another glorious day and that you all have a good one, especially if you're working
              Nos da, everyone!!

                        • Morning - dog decided it was wakey wakey time at 10 to 6. Cat and I couldn't agree with her so we both came downstairs and had a nap on the sofa while Rosie took the extra hour in her crate.

Had a light frost last night - so glad we put fleece over our winter lettuce!

Was it a full moon last night?...it was certainly bright!
