What a great idea BB, I'll do that She would try at home, but she thinks Chester would hamper her crops. If Jeanie's garden's anything to go by, she's quite right! Raining steadily here now, good for the peas. Back to work tomorrow
Just got to get to the Hill tomorrow to put up the pea wigwams, plant out the broadies; dig up the last of the roots and plant the spuds.
Done, done, done and done along with getting this year's batch of parsnip wine on the go, and a Brucie Bonus of stringing up one of the wigwams (hateful job!) and planting out the sweet peas. Hurrah!
Does anyone know if leeks freeze well? I've got a bag of small ones and wondered if I just rinsed them and cut into - say - inch chunks I could bung 'em in a freezer bag? Just thought they might go slimey when I come to cook them?
Well for the first time in donkeys years I decided to have a hot bath before bed time. I am usually a shower in the morning person!
Half way through my soak in the tub I remembered the cat likes to climb in on top of me - a few flicks of water helped her to change her mind
She is now sitting beside me on the arm of the sofa snuggling into my dressing gown. The dog is watching telly.
Good Morning Bucketing it down here and has been since four this morning. I was hoping for rain to settle the peas in, but I'm hoping this much doesn't wash them out! Have a good day

They do freeze like that Hazel and don't go slimy - just a bit limp and damp!
G'Mooooooooornin' Peeps. Yesterday I removed the carpet tiles and cleaned the lino in the kitchen. i put the chain screen up to keep most of the winged bitey/stingy bugs out, and arranged for my gardening chum to come over today to attack my front garden. So, today it is cold and rainy and bleugh!
My apologies to anyone in the area who wanted dry and sunny!
