            • It's been raining all morning here, but I don't mind as I've had my head down costing a proposal for a Client. Now I've done that, I see that it has stopped raining and I can go out for a lunchtime run without getting wet - hurrah!

Although having been bone-idle on the beach for the past 10 days, I might be stretching the definition of the word 'run' a bit!

                • Afternoon all....

Miserable wet morning here too...starting to brighten up now tho....
I haven't done any hardening off of my toms or chillis this year..they are either still inside or else went straight out to one of the greenhouses...(one of which currently has no door)
They all seem to be getting on with it and some are even growing

                  • Well now, the rainy weather has made me get my tool box out and start some more projects indoors. This time it is a broken loo seat - the seat itself has some chips and one of the hinge bolts had broken so time for a new one.
Purchased one in wilkos yesterday - took the old one off today, cleaned all round, tried to fit the new one and the shape was just wrong - no-one likes to touch the porcelain!
Back to the shop, swapped the first new one for a second new one (£8 cheaper!) home and fitted in minutes - looks great - much nicer than the first replacement!

Time taken - an hour and a half overall including shopping!
                    Hassle factor - probably a 6
Satisfaction factor - definitely an 8

                      • Rain stopped allotment play here too. Done usual house clean but washing is all on the airer and have even resorted to tumbling, as No1 son is going back to uni on Saturday and guess whose clothes are in the wash.
Ordered some veggiemesh to cover a "cage" I bought last Autumn but the netting is so poor I thought I'd replace it with veggiemesh to keep the butterflies out.
Time for a cup of tea I think.
