Meeting 2 fellow volunteer 'gardeners' today, for coffee, we were going to visit a small National Trust House, but is was raining yesterday, and forecast for today was rubbish, so we changed our plans, and guess what, 'it's fine and sunny' here at the moment ! Argh !

G'Moooooooornin' Peeps, we have sunny with wet stuff forecast. At least I'll have time to pack!
We're off on a week of nostalgia; pootling along the Norfolk Broads in a boat. Haven't done it for fifteen years, and we're going with the couple we used to go with, having not seen very much of them in between, due to career changes. There's loads I should be doing here, and I don't really deserve a holiday, but Hubby definitely needs a break. Fun will be had!

Messing about on the river sounds lovely.
In Hfds today it's sunny, rainy, windy, sunny, rainy, windy *repeat ad nauseam*. DS has forest school today but it's going to be a bit wild and woolly. Mr C and I are off to my parents' house to check all is well in their absence, fill our boots with ramsons, tinker about with their computer, and then probably head out to lunch. Don't you just love being self-employedIs there anything that isn't made better by half an hour pottering in the veg patch?

Morning all! Yep - happy FRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDAY! to all!
I'm looking forward to going to the Hill tomorrow to see what everything has done in my two-week absence. Hope to be able to cut a load of asparagus.
I also want to check out the 10k course for the race the weekend after this. I thought it would be a nice tootle round all the familiar routes that I run in Sutton Park, but some sadistic beggar has planned a cross country thrash combining the muddiest and the steepest trails. Looks like a bit of a slog. Ah well.
Have a lovely time on the water, G4 - we'll miss you!

Happy holiday G4!
Dog is sulking on the carpet after I dosed her neck with flea drops. Anyone would think I had done the nasty and given her a pill to swallow.
Off to the docs in a minute as my blood pressure is too high and now it is stopping me from dashing around doing stuff.
It is blowing a hoolie out there - hope it calms down as I need a dry spell to sort out the paving and start painting the fence.Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

My tomato plants are all in their final places now. Orange buckets for the cherry varieties and black buckets for the big girls. Will be bringing them into the garage at night until the night time temperatures improve. Only got the sweetcorn and squashes indoors now. Spuds are doing great. Wind had been really blowy today.Nannys make memories
