I quite fancy making another celebration cake, just to practice what I've learned making Dad's. Probably wouldn't get eaten though, there just being the four of us normally, and then two of us don't eat cake....
Maybe try something to do with radio in your writing - NEWSFLASH - ? Is 80 today!

Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?

          • Morning all, might do some psychology planning today and some more knitting. Finished magic square 3, the best yet. A couple of dropped stitches, but all of the stripes and equal and neat. Not doing til I finish a decent block of school work though.

Psychology is okay. Shuffling and tweaking around. Have to plan sociology from scratch.l'm not complaining! Just wish I wasn't learning yet another subject.

            • Did I miss a thread about Sarz retiring as a Mod? She has been a brilliant mod for ages and I hate to think she stepped down without the speech and vote of thanks.

DON'T EAT CAKE DON'T EAT CAKE !!! That can't be right. Surely everybody loves cake. My waistline shows to full effect my love of cake.

                • Afternoon all! Drizzle earlier, but clearing up nicely for my lunchtime run. Will be glad of it as I've just had an 'is it me?' moment with a disagreement with my mother, and a run clears the head.

Mind you, my brother has just told me about the benefits of 'backwards running' but the only benefit that I can think of is giving everyone else a right good laff when you fall over!

Has Sarz hung up her pointy stick? If so, I missed it too We need info!

Jeanie this is the first I've heard about Sarz not being a mod, wonder when it happened.

I like cake so long as its fruit cake.

                          • Prevening All......Rain stayed away, hardly any clouds now - might get an overnight frost if the late tide doesn't bring clouds with it.

Cake's finished, bits of party shopping done, quick trip around town, then home to potter. Chops for supper.

                              • I take Mum back to the hospital tomorrow afternoon, Jules. The consultant is hopeful that the sigbt in that eye will improve but it'll take time. Mum's a stoic - she says that one good eye is better than the 2 rubbishy ones she had before
