HH
please be aware of this in T&Cs...
...............................................
Default Grapevine meet ups.
Just a few thoughts to bear in mind.
If you participate in a thread and say you are going to go to a meet up, please either go, or keep in touch with the organiser and let them know if you can't attend. Please don't say you will be there, and never go back to the thread and never turn up. Venues are chosen to take into consideration those that say they are coming, so if half don't come - a more suitable venue might be required.
Please try to stay local, if people are travelling from far and wide, spending lots of money on travel and accommodation, and other local people don't turn up, who said they were going to be there, it can be a terrible waste of money and time.
If you start the ball rolling with a thread to organise a meet up, then you nominate yourself as organiser, and you should be responsible for prompting people, reminding them, finding people travel info and taking contact phone numbers for the day.
Just a few learning points from a recent meet up, that might help others in future when arranging to meet.
....................
Always nice to have a meet up...if you do decide to go ahead with it, hope you all have a lovely time"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Yes, Aunty Nicos, that's exactly why I'm being tentative the t&c's were the alarms bells in my head all along.
Plus in being educator and being pedantic, I can follow the T&C's....and learn from the previous get together.
Will dwell further could be something and nothing.

Been out this morning and bought myself a Zero-gravity reclining chair https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuy...rden-recliner/
for dozing in the garden. Had to try it out in the GH as it started to chuck it down when I got home - thunder too.
You control the recline with your feet on the footrest - slight problem in that my legs are too short to reach the bar - they just dangle Good job I'm not an astronaut - I'd never leave the ground

I know what you mean, VC - I have a reclining armchair where you pull a lever to recline. Once you're there though, it's a devil to get out of.
I love it at Christmas, though, as long as before I pull the lever I have to hand my knitting, jigsaw, chocs, tv remote, bottle of port, either/both cats.

We've got a couple of similar chairs we use them in the garden and take them camping, they're ever so comfy.Last edited by Bren In Pots; 22-05-2014, 03:22 PM.Location....East Midlands.
