Sorry to hear about Maisie's health issues. A little sad here today, too, as I lost one of my Batties yesterday.

Eeeeeeeeeeevenin' Peeps! I came home, on a high, and ready to attack the front jungle. Got as far as resurrecting a poor dying Kerria (yes, a dying Kerria - who'da thunk it!? ) from the clutches of the bramble, marestail, ivy and assorted hedgerow seedings... It'll probably live now - they generally do!
Anyway, I'm pooped, so I'm sat back on my arris. Think I'll put the kettle on ...All the best - Glutton 4 Punishment

Typical this should happen the day before the very rare occasion that I am entertaining. Sounds grander than it is - friend and family and my family getting together after the 13k fun run tomorrow.
Mum phoned to ask if I had any juice, or are we all drinking tea? I told her we will be drinking a choice of juice and/or tea, of course. As soon as I put the phone down I had to hot-foot it up to Aldi to get (a)juice of various sorts what with having none, and (b) milk as I haven't got enough.
Realised when I got home that I although I can muster 8 glasses to drink from, the motley assortment includes sherry glasses, a couple of tumblers, and two sizes of wine glass. I have mustered a rather more uniform collection of tumblers after a frantic plea to the Next-doors.

The tablecloth doesn't look brill, if I'm honest, after the vinegar treatment, but another whizz though the machine might work wonders. Can't do that and iron it for tomorrow before I leave for the start, so I've got a table runner which will have to do.
Folk's will be too busy eating sarnies and drinking tea/juice from an assortment of approximately-the-same-size glasses to notice!
Edit to add pic - getting excited now!
