Finally got through to the vet who tells me that Maisie's thyroid meds need to be adjusted down now but there are ongoing concerns about her liver so next we have a fasting liver test on Monday. My poor girl, still worried, and these tests are so expensive. And the expensive rat man will be round tomorrow sometime to check on his rat bait traps and advise on the next steps.
Pension/ savings are flying out of the door as we speak!

Dogs have masters, cats have slaves, and horses are just wonderful
Well on the plus side of all of this, cat is happy to have the bucket taken off her head after the op to remove her leg tumour, and she thinks she is fine As long as she is staying interested in her life, I am too.
Evening (morning ? ) all...
Arrived safely yesterday and well settled in now.. Young lad was so wound up with excitement after arriving that it was like he was on speed.....
Bit more settled today and we had a lovely meal out tonight.. I had one of those steak on a stone things, which was beautiful.. 4 year old could not understand why I had to cook it..."Dad, you are on holidays, let them do it " she said..
Very hot here with more to come
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
Morning guys, a beautifull sunny morning here. Trying to decide if I dare wheelbarrow in some more of the wood chip the kind (not) delivery man left at the top of the shared drive ( 40 meters from the front door) before work. Trouble is drive is all gravel and it makes quite a lot of noise with the barrow.

Morning! Up early even though I'm not at work today. Have to take son to school as the school bus can't get him to school in time for a morning exam! Still hopefully I'll get the house jobs done sooner and off to the allotment. Looks like it's going to be a warm one.
Good Morning All, busy in here today already, it's amazing what the weather can do. Lovely and sunny, too nice to be in work, but needs must when the devil drives. Have a good day
