  • We're supposed to have rain this evening so I'm hoping it comes before I decide to get the hose out.
    Location....East Midlands.

    • Somebody else has run off with our rain - was it you G4?
Just been out the back with the hose to water - it only takes a few minutes as the garden is so diddy

Then I went out the front to tidy the rose bush a bit - to put the dead heads in the garden recycling bag. As soon as I shut the front door I hear Rosie doing her Hound of the Baskervilles impersonation . She was really going for it with gusto. I have never seen her howl, but I bet it is funny to watch.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

      • Not me, Jeanie. I mean, yes, it's here, but I didn't take it - it came over uninvited.

My Roxy howls when she gets excited - hilarious. I picked up my dog-walking chum and her Dalmatian today, and he howled with excitement before jumping in the car. Nutter!

Oh, and I'm not speaking to Oscar. My two both had a good groom yesterday. They looked lovely. Today, on our walk, Oscar finds a very large, very wet, sticky and revoltingly stinky fox poo to roll in. He's been washed twice, and I can still smell it.

        • Have bought some Nemaslug, and some Nemasys. Was going to apply, but really think it's still too sunny and although I watered this morning, planning to apply this evening, think I'll wait, rain is forecast for Friday.

But looking on packet, there are 12 million, in the pk Nemaslug and 10 million in the other, hope they don't 'hatch' or something whilst in the fridge, scary thought!

          • Good luck with it Dotty. I put three applications on a raised bed last year and my bras were still eaten alive

                    • No rain here, just watered everything, takes hours, as bits all over the place. Bought a "soaker hose at the weekend, to do the drive with as have just sowed about 10 packets of night scented stock. Soaker is the right word I got absolutely soaked trying to lay the thing so the water went where I want it to. Seems to do the job though
