  • Marvellous chat this morning, folks - thanks for the giggles!

Been a bit short of beverages this morning as I am down to the last dribble of milk, and really, really don't fancy those green tea teabags which have been languishing in the cupboard for ever; bought in a moment of 'health consciousness'.

The good news is that I am going out to the dentist in a minute and can get milk then. The bad news is that I am going out to the dentist in a minute.

    • Get the milk first Hazel and drink it.
Calcium is good for your teeth so you may not need to go to the dentist.
Just filling in time here..............oops sorry, didn't want to mention the dentist and that's the tooth, I mean truth...............
Sorry, how can I extract myself from this mess - puts foot in mouth again........

        • Those were the day, Nicos. I've just tried and my toes are about 6 inches away from my teeth. ............
I'll be able to get them closer once they're out of the glass

          • Afternoon all..
This coming back from hols is a slow process...
Slowly getting back to normality and catching up work wise - both in the garden and in actual work...On the bright side, first tomato yesterday, lots of strawberries and raspberries and loads of other stuff ready

Yep, I've noticed my beans are quite slow to get going compared to other stuff

                  • I've just come in for a pint of water...it's hot and humid out there at the moment..and the ground is rock hard.
I'm tempted to pour the water onto the bit I'm trying to weed instead...or over my head!!!!

                    • Hot here too. I have done a hot weather task - gave the dog a bath in the garden Now she has dried out we have spent a happy half hour brushing the tangles out - her hair is so long in places it is longer than mine
Her big problem area is behind the ears though, and all I can do is get the scissors out from time to time to cut the mats out.

                              Aghhhhh! Scarey!!!!!

Right, my scarecrow lacks but eyes and a mouth - so I shall have a ponder on that.

But for now, bad housewife mummy has not got any cat litter left, so unless I want puddles on the front mat (actually, we get that every now and again anyway, ) I best get my running shoes on and get up to Sains.

                              • I bet Scarey will be along soon with an "Oi". Your hair looks nice Scarlet and so does Rosie. Chester had his cut before he came last weekend, so he's looking very sleek and dalmation-like! I cut myself and my neighbour a bunch of freesia last night. Strange, it was almost as satisfying as pulling a bunch of carrots Not much smell to them at the moment though - do you think it's probably because they weren't grown under glass?
