Rain's just arrived - washing brought in.
You should have time to fetch the paper before it reaches you, Hazel

Ta - I'll get it in in a mo.

I'll just finish lunch. Anyone want a slice?

        • Aaaaaaaaaaarternooooooooon Peeps - long time no see. Been busy this week - picked up another fabulous garden to do. I may even lose some weight at this rate.

Fab timing Bill, but what time is the rain going to get to me? We have none forecast for today. My laundry's still out, and my IBC is still full anyway, so no panic.

We got going early today, and see if we prefer working in the mornings instead of the afternoons. Did so well, we have tomorrow off, as we did tomorrow's garden today, too. Now I have the rest of the day to myself.

I think I'll treat myself to an afternoon of Hubby's accounts...

          Coffee?

Oh no you don't - there won't be any left for anyone else. Or me, for that matter!

Some treat! Yep to coffee - then I MUST knuckle down and shuffle some paper.

Cat's not helping, although he is very sweet.

              • He makes a fab paperweight, Hazel!

I had a punnett of enormous strawberries for lunch, and Idiot-dog insisted he wanted one. He took it, threw it, jumped on it, then rolled and rolled on it. He is now officially strawberry blond! Smells a whole lot better, too.

                  • Well the rain arrived about half an hour ago but it is so sticky still. Let's hope it drizzles all night and cools everything down a bit!

Dog and I fitted in a walk in the park before the rain arrived - the lime trees are in full flower and the perfume is overpowering. I do like watching the changing seasons in the park - some great things to see in nature, including a diddy goldcrest this afternoon
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

                    • Funny you should mention Limes, Jeanie. Theres a hoooooge one where I was this morning - it finished flowering weeks ago. Lovely trees, but sadly, this one is more than a little stressed.

                        • I bet the rain will hit here soon - it's dark as anything outside.

                          • Hi guys, am sitting on the mezzanine looking at the most glorious sunset.

Not had any rain today so have watered every thing. Thought I herd thunder just as I was putting the hose away!

                            • Just been up on a mercy dash with a neighbour to the vet - his poor kitty has a suspected broken pelvis - possibly a road accident. She is being 'kept in' overnight at the vets and it is a waiting game to see what the issue is once she has x rays.

                              • Oh no - poor kitty! I do hope he's ok - at least he is cuddled up at the vets and not out wandering in pain. Cold comfort for your neighbour - I bet she doesn't sleep well tonight.

I have the back door open and am listening to the rain softly falling. The cats are upset that if they go out on this summer night, they will get wet. They have been mollified with a few scraps of chicken tarragon. They aren't getting a look in on the summer fruits cheesecake, though.

On a separate note, I have the footy on and can't help noticing how many of the players have beards. Just an observation.
