Morning all, lots of rain here overnight, all my butts full so that's a relief. It felt almost like autumn this morning, spider webs everywhere. Going to take Rosie the springer to the vets today, she had a front leg amputated last year and that puts more strain on her other front leg. I don't know what we will do if that one packs up too. Very concerned.photo album of my garden in my profile http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...my+garden.html

Morning, we've had a bit of overnight rain but not enough to make any difference to the rain butts.
All the best with Rosie's vet visit Bill.Last edited by Bren In Pots; 27-06-2014, 08:38 AM.Location....East Midlands.

Happy Friday Grapelets
According to my high-tech finger dip test we had about half inch of rain over night. If you listen hard, you can hear the plants slurping it up and fluffing up their leaves.
Bill, Thinking of you and Rosie. Dogs are such stoics, they never complain about their aches and pains the way we do. Give her a hug from me.
More rain forecast for later so must get on with stuff................Byeeeeeeeeee
EDIT - When they said rain later, I didn't think it would be within 5 minutes Have to have another coffi to while away the time 'til it stopsLast edited by veggiechicken; 27-06-2014, 09:21 AM.

Morning all - still raining here too. Actually, when I say 'still raining' I'm guessed that it didn't rain all of last night - if it had, I'm sure that it would have dampened down the revelers at the party over the road that was still in full flow at 3am.
I'm sure that all the plants at the Hill are loving it - just hope that the slugs and snails aren't having a party too.
Oh - how rude of me! I hope all those with poorly pets get a happy outcome. Cuddles all round.Last edited by Hazel at the Hill; 27-06-2014, 09:29 AM.

Prevening All. Raining hard here now and has been for most of the afternoon. Hope all goes well at the vet for Rosie. I'm resisting doing lots of housework, I need a rest. Middle GGs 16th birthday today, but she's in Turkey. I am, however, expecting a phone callGranny on the Game in Sheffield

As I suspected Rosie has arthritis in her remaining front leg, pain killers seems to be the only remedy. Weight loss would help but as she cant walk much that's hard to achieve. She must be in pain but never even whimpers.photo album of my garden in my profile http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...my+garden.html

Evening all! Dry now here after a morning of rain. When I went out for a paper at lunchtime and everywhere smelled 'green'.
Sounds like Rosie will be on that 'light' dog food for a bit, Bill, to try and get a bit of weight off. It would be worth it to relieve the wear on her leg. Loads of peeps on painkillers for arthritis, though, so no reason for her not to do well on them.
Hope Jeanie's neighbour's cat is ok.
Meanwhile, I have worked hard all day but only completed two tasks out of 18 on my 'to do' list. How did that happen? Never mind, it's FRIIIIIIIIIIIIIDAY and I'm have a coffee before going to pick mum up to go to Sains. We know how to live it up at the weekends, oh yes.
