Hi guys found out how o link up at work! no idea what the weather is doing, they keep me in a dark room But at least the babies have been behaving today. Nearly Friday!
Dogs have masters, cats have slaves, and horses are just wonderful
Evening folks! It's looking gloomy out there - we may be in for rain.
I'm going to bottle this year's parsnip wine this evening - I never know why it takes so long, but it does. Hey ho.
In sad news, old Merlin cat next door rallyed from his bout of being-nearly-dead a couple of weeks ago, and has had a really good week being his old self, but a relapse last night and last-chance vet treatment today (which hasn't pulled him round this time) means that I suspect his return visit in the morning will be a one way journey.
*sniff
Right - those wine bottles won't sterilise themselves.
Eeeeeeeeeeeevenin' Peeps. I do miss popping in here, but with extra gardening to do, time seems to be disappearing at an alarming rate. Hope everyone is hale and hearty, haven't got time to read back beyond this page, so I hope I haven't missed anything - sincerest apologies if I have, and put my foot in it, so to speak.
Sorry to read the post above regarding your Neighbour's cat, Hazel, and ((((HUGS)))) to you both. I was given some extremely horrible and sad news from a client today. The sort of news that makes you sit back and really think about things. I don't want to waffle about it on here, but, I dunno, just found it so upsetting, I guess. Be thankful for what you have, Peeps.
Anyway, it's Gin o'clock here. Cheers!

Cheers, Glutton - although it's tea only for me tonight - I try and have a couple of alcohol free days each week, and this is one of them.
You'd think that it would be a temptation to sample the parsnip wine that I've just bottled, but no - it tastes absolutely awful until it's been in the bottle for at least one, and preferably two years.
I don't know where the time goes either, G4 - I'm just able to have tea, and it's practically bed time!!
Thanks to you and to Bren for your good wishes with regard to Merlin, he's an old cat who has had a great life, but it's always sad to lose them, isn't it?
Well, call me a liar, I did end up going to the pub after all - seems I got my wires twisted. I tell you, it was a quick turn around to get ready - I was wallowing in the bath when my lift arrived! So much for an early night.
That's me then - I'm away to my gwely. Nos da, BB and anyone else still around.
PS - Almost forgot - who was victorious in the crazy golf??
Well, those storms were were supposed to have never arrived
Looks like we're in for another lovely day here too Flo.
I'm hoping to transplant more self seeded flowers today- got loads of lupins, English marigolds, nasturtiums and cornflowers all growing in the driveway and veg plots.
A few look good, but the nasturtiums take over the beds and smother the veg.
Funny how I'm rubbish with flower seeds but the self seeded ones do really well
I've got a few rogue poppies amongst the veg and I'm really chuffed they've come up....anyone else grow flowers amongst the veg or veg amongst the flowers?

Good morning Grapeland, Yes Nic, I try (when I remember) to put flowers amongst the veg. I mainly remember when planting into the SFG....................

I let my flowers self seed all over the veg plot and only pull those up that are in the way when I'm planting out. Its only the forget-me-nots I have to be ruthless with or they would take over.
