Well, here I go again...pouring down yet again, but one consolation, it's warm!

Dog went swimming at Little Britain lake this afternoon - cooled me off nicely when she came out of the water. I met a dogwalker who used to breed springers - she informed me that Rosie is definitely a working springer and there is no way I will ever wear her out by walking her
So the next alternative is to tire her out by education How apt!
By the way we were officially hotter than Honolulu today - forget next Friday when the news anticipated it!Last edited by Jeanied; 16-07-2014, 06:57 PM.Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Good Evening All
I trust you all had a very pleasant day? Managed to spend the afternoon over the plot but never got much done, you know what its like when you start chatting...starts off with two, then another joins and so on.
Really hoping the promised rain arrives the weekend as the soil is becoming very dry and dusty but at least the slimy menaces are staying away...
have great evening everybody.....Last edited by Greenleaves; 16-07-2014, 07:31 PM.

Good evening Grapeys.
Just recovering with a glass or two of red after this evening's events.
A lad came to the door asking for blankets for his friend who had come off his bike, after crashing into a lamp post. The road here is a single carriageway, with a sharp bend on a steep downhill.
Luckily, a doctor was going uphill and stopped to look after him until the ambulance arrived and an off-duty policeman was coming downhill, so he organised road closures. My role was to keep the lad talking and conscious (easy!!) I don't like blood though so it was not very pleasant.
There are 2 bikes in my garage now, waiting for the owners to return, though one won't be riding his bike for a while.
Hope you've all had a better day than he has.

Evening all, just finished watching the last show from Hampton Court, then thought I had better go out and water the garden, but noticed it had started to rain, went outside any way (through my new back door. I remembered this time!) and guess what I saw
Isn't it fantastic, thank god for the big skies of Lincoln.Attached FilesDogs have masters, cats have slaves, and horses are just wonderful
