  • Aaaaaaaaaarternoooooooon (or is it Eeeeeeeeeevenin') Peeps! . Hope you're all well!?

Took on an extra job today, and it didn't go according to plan. Didn't want to do it, but with new customers, I like to help out when and if I can, and they had been let down. We got half as much done as I'd hoped, which means a return trip, or probably two to finish. . Ho hum.

    Gasping for a cuppa now.

    • Evening All

Had one of those strange days today where you do everything but feel you have acheive nothing.

Not to mention having my ear bent by a client who seemed to think that as they pay my bill the audit resulsts would bé favourable??

Still, got to smile as its family time now and thats priceless. I did try to suggest we could all meet over the allotment but the boss ( Mrs Greenleaves ) was not very impressed.......oh well there's always tomorrow

      • Evening all! I've been busy all day, yet achieved the processing of precisely 3 items out of my In Tray of 132 files. I'm going to have to seriously pull my finger out to clear this backlog.

However, prevarication being my middle name, I will not be doing that this evening.

I will go out for a run instead. Tonight's session - should you wish to join me - will consist of a 20 minute warm up jog into the park, then 10 repetitions of 1min skipping, 1min fast run, 3mins easy run, and a jog home.

        Who's in?

            • I doubt I could manage one minute of skipping, to be fair. I'll go do an hour of Pilates instead - at least I can't fall off the floor!

              • The only skipping I do involves diving into a roadside container

                  • Dog and I have had our evening walk in the park - she did a bit of mad chasing round off lead and then came trotting back as good as gold when I stopped and sat down on the grass. Not a technique I can use in the wetter / colder weather but I am glad I have been able to catch her a bit more easily recently
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

                          • Lol the kids used to say that to me in school - 'I can't do that, Miss - I've got a bone in my leg!' To which I used to reply - 'To go with the one in your head then!'

                            • It's ok - you can stop being impressed . I was rubbish tonight, and only did the run to/from the park and 2 repetitions.

Combo of it being ridiculously hot and muggy out there; letting your mind wander as you run is another way of letting you brood; realising that I've only actually eaten a couple of handfuls of rasps, two pieces of toast and half an egg custard since Saturday.

So I came home - tomorrows another day.

In the house - I've been out all evening watering

I had to smile at parents calling their children in - there's no school tomorrow and it's a warm sunny evening so it's going to take some time. Himself moans about the noise they make, but I seem to switch them off. They offered me an ice cream tonight
