Morning all - I'm late signing in today. I've been distracted by the Next-door's tabby - I'm looking after her while they are in Morocco for the week.
Debated yesterday why they were going as the weather there would be the same as here. Decided that the heat there was probably a nicer heat than here (if you see what I mean), but the clincher was that over there, you're on holiday.
Domino in the spare room today rather than on the bench - wonder how they decide where today's fav spot is?
Morning all, another to hot for me day,for the last few weeks, our garden is undergoing a complete make over,to include a veg patch at home,so i can play at home and away,it all takes time and this heat, say no more,MR LD is a goodun,am hoping to get the poly from the lottie home at the end of the season, and extend it,very shortly the first of the raised beds will be plonked in more leaveling to do,then left to settle, will post pics in a relevant thread in due course, for those that enjoy this heat enjoy, the rest of us stay cool,
sigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these
Prevening All - wagged half the afternoon today so off to sow some carrots for the 4th or is it the 5th time? I might label these "Snugfodder". See you later.
Not as many preditors probably Bren. I think the snugs in my garden think all my veg is mange tout. It doesn't seem to be cooling down at all and another hot one forecast for tomorrow. Hope it keeps up until my jollies.
Do you know Bren, I can count on one hand (in a manner of speaking) the amount of slugs I've seen this year, but I've lost count of how many snails. See you tomorrow
Too hot for running - and my bro has just cheerily messaged to see if I'm up for 'a jog round the race route' next week. His definition of 'jog' is no where near mine!!
I am sure I am not alone but the overnight temperatures are driving me nuts....
Once again I am sat outside with debris netting drapped over the parasol to keep the midges at bay, well keep them out of my cider really. Also started to notice an increase in wasp numbers today....allergic to the bathbuns so try to give them a wide birth.
