Evening, sorry to read about your plot Jeanie I do think you should drop the council a note letting them know about the damage that been done.
Dotty we're down to just one courgette in the fridge and thats after eating them with nearly every meal
can't remember if I've posted this link but it my latest favourite thing to do with courgettes :-

On the other side of me is a plotholder who spent months in hospital last year so his plot has gone wild again, but he has a frame full of runner beans and some beds with onions and parsnips.
This is the second year this has happened to me - not so much damage as last year though. I am philosophical because I know I was not keeping it up to standard, and was beginning to struggle in the hot weather. My strimmer is a bit too ladylike to chop up the nettle stems so they have done me a bit of a favour - along with some losses which I am sure other plotholders will help me out with (I will put up a note asking for any strawb runners going free to a good home )
At least the council didn't send me a letter telling me I have a month to sort it out. That would have been tricky for me as I have a busy month coming up.
Just sending you a PMNannys make memories

Evening all
Spent the afternoon on the plot and absolutely cream crackered, but I dont really know why...never did anything really physical. Perhaps I ate to much quiche this afternoon and oh those two pints.................
Jeanied, happy to pop along the M3 if ever you need it strimmed, you only need to ask..Last edited by Greenleaves; 29-07-2014, 10:07 PM.

Sorry to hear about your plot jeanied,am sure you should have had a word in your ear from the powers that be,certainly tell them what has happened, could just be,the peeps doing the strimming were not tolled that the work patch actually had a plot cultivated/leave alone plot in the middle, hence them doing all 3 instead of two,all the work and loving care and hopes of eating your own gone,i would be spitting fire and feathers, sigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these

I'm on the notepad in bed, the lovely but uncuddly Dom with me on the bed (don't worry, I won't be posting any more pics of my boudoir. ) and I am just catching up here before turning into ......... sleeping beauty.
The Next-doors have sent a txt saying their flight delayed by 3hrs, and are likely to have driven back from Gatwick to arrive home at 5.30am.
At least I know that their tabby cat won't mind being woken in the middle of the night, after that alarm shenanighans on Saturday night.....
