  • Oh that's soooooooo much better! Back on the Poota instead of the Tablet. Hi Bren! *Waves.

    My 'gripes' with the App are;

1: Notifications - doesn't show 'Likes' and I can't find them (and I am pretty poota-savvy, to be fair).
2: Quotes - are they ever going to sort that issue out?
3: When I next go onto the App, it won't have synchronised with the 'Proper' version, so all my 'read' threads will be showing 'unread' - a small point, but drives me daft(er than usual).
4: Location details and Signatures don't seem to be visible (unless my settings need adjusting, which I will look at) so I have no idea if new members are local or t'other side of the world.
5: My G & T has miraculously drained so all I'm left with is a dry tumbler containing a slice of Lime and Lemon. Not sure if that's relevant, but if they could sort that one first, I may forgive the other shortcomings!

    • Friday night, quarter past eight and what am I doing (apart from dipping into the Vine)? Making jam! Admittedly I am also sipping a glass of wine and waiting for supper to cook, but this is no way to spend a Friday evening! Mind you, the plums are just sublime. I have eaten a fair few too.

      • Evening all!

Been to Sains for essentials - cat food, egg custards, plenty of yellow sticker items!

I have a glass of wine on the go, too. Not sure if it's a good combo with jam making, Susie!

Housework for tomorrow, Flo - don't be surprised if it rains when I want to put the washing on the line. Glad you can see again!

Will refilling the glass per your point (5) also fix your snagging list, G4? Someone told me this week that tonic was good to stop/prevent cramp - a fine excuse for a G&T, I thought.

Hope you enjoyed Mablethorpe (what a GREAT name, btw!), Bren, despite rain. Bet you had a fab time. Have you come back to plenty of courgettes, I wonder...

Right - better do my Wonderwoman twirl and get presentable to go to the pub....

Hazel we were with a rally and stayed on a school playing field just a few yards from the beach I jibbed out at doing more than a paddle this time though.

I've had a courgette head count looks like that's what we'll be eating this weekend

Right - I'm opening a book as to how many courgettes Bren came home to.
Salient points to consider before pitching your bid are as follows:
            • I do believe that Bren has 5 (FIVE) courgette plants
            • varieties unknown, however don't think this affects yield
            • Bren has been away for 1 WEEK
            • The weather has turned in this period and cooler weather slows courgette growth.

Roll up, roll up - place your bets here...

              • Up early for me on a Saturday. Decorator's coming to finish the outside painting and later the outlaws are coming. Why do I feel the need to have the perfect house and garden when they come? Probably as comments have been made in the past. Just hope they have not brought a camera at which I am expected to peer at latest holiday photos. Either print or don't bother showing me!
