Could be me I've just bought a box of yellow stickered custard doughnuts. Not my favourite filling - but they were cheap, cheep cheep
Well done Hazel - I must be faster than BM even though I have little legs - 'cos I'd be happy with 64 hours
Afternoon folks - after my post-race bath I pulled myself together and went to the Hill. It really is a glorious day out there.
I picked courgettes, runner beans and a few rasps, then had a massive scrap with an uninvited blackberry bush. I thought I'd chopped the d@mn thing down earlier on in the summer, but that has not deterred it and it is as unruly as ever.
I've checked the race organiser's website, and the results for today's race won't be up until tomorrow, so plenty of time this evening to have a guess at my time.
For info, my personal best at this distance is 61:07, but that was a flat course. Hills on this one are likely to have made it slower. I hope to have come in under 64mins, but I really don't know whether I did or not.
Winner gets a donut - I'm the only one who finds the smell of them cooking in the hot fat makes me want to hurl?
Hazel I'm with you on the doughnut smell plus but even worse than that is chickens cooking in the supermarket lost count how many times I've had to leave.
I'l give 62.39 as your time taking the hills into count.
