    • I dont think I have ever seen so much lightening ever, not above but but all round in every direction. Rosie the springer disgraced hereritage of a gun dog and spent the night firmly wedged between my wife and I while danny the JR decided to lie on the pillow above my head rather like an admirals hat.
At one point I sat outside (4am) and a huge clap of thunder took place, the thing is we have a lot of tiny led garden lights and none of them are lit at that time of night but they all came on brighter than i have ever seen them! for about 5 seconds. They may well be blown now.

      • Ahoy, me hearties! It's FRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDAY

It's looking dull from here behind the desk, but it's warm enough for the back door to be open. Not nice enough to sit on the bench, though, says Domino cat, so he doing that tea cosy thing on the back door mat, looking out.

Not daunted by the greyness outside, I have load of washing in the machine which we be hung out, even if it just sits there all day.

I am file shuffling today, then picking mum up to go shopping later, then out to the pub. Doesn't sound too bad, does it - especially if you say that first bit quite quickly.

Meanwhile, in the area formerly known as Sunshiny South Wales, We had some overnight rain. Not enough to top up the waterbutts but, mustn't grumble - its the first rain for weeks.
Not sure what the day has in store for me - hopefully a load of 2nd hand decking will arrive this afternoon, so I may be entertaining the shirtless men that I met last year, again

Have a good day, me Hearties

            • Well, still stranded here! It's fab - feels like Christmas, so quiet and people popping in with their wellies for a coffee and a chat cos they can't go out to work. Pretty amazed though that drivers will ignore road closed signs, get stuck, then ring the emergency services!

                  • I feel sorry for the ones that have flooded homes but just the roads closed doesn't hurt us. One of those industrial pump lorries has just turned up but there is little to do as there is nowhere for them to pump it.

                    • Ahoy, me hearties!

Thunder and lightning knocked 7 bells out of our internet last night, so it did, but now it's set fair. Time to cast off and catch the tide down to the allotment while the weather holds. There be much booty to plunder there, arrr!

I've just made ' another' 7 large jars, of tomato and apple, added chilli and ginger. (+ a bowl full).

I daren't count how many pounds of tomato based, courgette based, marrow based and plum based I've made!

Maybe I'll set up a stall in the Farmers market? Shall I sell some of your runner bean chutney for you?

I'll probably be making that tomorrow, as haven't been up to plot for few days!

We'll have to start eating it, that's for sure. House smells nice!
